CJ RICHARDSON
Program Manager at South LA Site (he/him)
“Hi, my name is CJ Richardson, and I am the new Outreach Coordinator for SoCal Club. After completing my undergrad in Political science and International Relations, I spent the bulk of my professional career working to support underserved communities both international and domestically. I am so happy to get to continue that work here with this amazing organization.
A fun fact about me is I served as a Peace Corps volunteer after finishing my undergrad. I was assigned to a small village in Guyana where I worked at the local school and health center helping to support however I could."
CODI GENTLE
Outreach Coordinator (him/them)
"Hey there, I'm Codi. At my simplest, am a Brooklyn-bred lad navigating this world through thoughtful lenses," says Codi Gentle, our new SoCal Club outreach coordinator. "I've found that no matter what kinds of spaces I am moving around in, my intentions rest and thrive within channeling love and consideration. At my most complex, I am working to find and nurture what is sacred in the world and bring about expansive versions of expression and care for our shared experience here.
Generating wellness may and will look different for each of us, so I value the importance of what community-building and balance look like. Specifically, how the activated use of these things positively makes way for informed thinking, connection and support."
PATRICK FLYNN
SoCal Club Case Worker (he/him)
Hello! My name is Patrick, I am the Case Worker here at Men’s Health Foundation SoCal Club. I also lead our Transitional Housing Assistance Program. I started with the organization as a patient access specialist for both our primary care clinic and rapid results/research department. My background has been in sports medicine, having previously worked as a PTA and medical assistant for an Orthopedic surgeon fellow.
I am originally from the United Kingdom, having lived in California for 8 years. I have been involved with HIV organizations and local community centers from my earlier days, growing up in government housing. For this reason, I feel very passionate about the community and the resources we provide here at SoCal Club.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and camping in the great outdoors.
KEVIN CASTANEDA
Patient Access Specialist (he/him)
SoCal Club has opened up so many doors and has allowed me to create meaningful relationships with my community. Growing up in South LA, it was very difficult to find a space where I felt that I could be a thousand percent me and SoCal Club has been that space.
I was very fortunate to have come from a very understanding and accepting family, so my goal is to create the same environment for those who haven’t had the best experience feel like we’re the home away from home, surrounded by the people here at the SoCal Club.
