MHF CEO and Founder Dr. Mills appeared on Inside the Issues with Alex Cohen last week, to share updates on mpox suppression in Southern California. "We utilized the lessons that we learned in COVID...we were able to mobilize resources and we think that's the reason we were able to get things under control so quickly," says Dr. Mills.
The segment also addressed stigma specific to men who have sex with men (MSM) in the U.S., with promising development to modernize and lessen restrictions for MSM interested in donating blood, as well as the growing interest to update the name for HIV to combat ongoing stigma connected to the virus.

Antibody Testing Is Not Currently Recommended to Assess Immunity After COVID-19 Vaccination, Says FDA

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is reminding the public and health care providers that results from currently authorized SARS-CoV-2 antibody tests should not be used to evaluate a person’s level of immunity or protection from COVID-19 at any time, and especially after the person received a COVID-19 vaccination.
